In 1952, under the initiative of Mr. Win Sivers, DW Sivers Company was born as a construction company. Today, the group continues as a real-estate development, management, and investment company with a long string of successful industrial, retail and office projects to its credit.
DW Sivers Co. is a second-generation family business and a woman-owned business with 83.5% of its stock owned by women who are active in the company management.
DW Sivers Co. has historically been Portland's leader in "build-to-suit" industrial and flex space, buying land in speculation of growing markets. The Company's "build-to-suit" portfolio includes clients such as the Leatherman Tool Group Inc. and the American Nation Red Cross.
DW Sivers Co. has also been very active in the development of retail and office properties, contributing to a portfolio in excess of 2 million square feet. The Barnes Miller Village (Portland) and Windy's Corner (Portland) shopping centers exemplify the Sivers Companies' experience in the retail market. Office complexes such as Airport Plaza West (PDX) and Courtside (Vancouver, WA) are the Company's most recent class A and B office projects.
The company has also become an authority in the development of innovative athletics-related facilities. DW Sivers Co. has participated as a developer in the design and execution of three projects with The Hoop USA, Inc. and currently retains substantial ownership of the Beaverton and Vancouver facilities. DW Sivers Co. is often an investor in the management and operation as well as the real estate of these athletic projects. Subsequently, the Company has initiated the formation of a separate management entity in partnership with Riverplace Associates. This evolution has positioned the company as a market leader in athletics-related development and operations.
